The Countdown Begins!
I officially have less than 1 month until I go back to Nicaragua this summer. This will be my longest summer yet to spend there at 2 1/2 months. I will be privilaged to work with 5 different volunteer groups, one of which is a medical mission, from the States. I also hope to do more traveling and to see more of the country that I have fallen in love with. It feels like just last week my countdown was 9 months and now I am counting the days at 30. The town that I will be spending most of my time in is called San Jose de Cusmapa, Nicaragua. It is about 4500 ft in altitude and there is always a nice breeze so I thankfully dont have to deal with mosquitos all day. The climate cannot be matched in the fact that you can see a cactus, a pine tree and a bananna tree all within 5 feet of each other. The people that live in Nicaragua are so genuine and thankful for what they have and I hope to share individual stories with you this summer. Please keep myself, the volunteer groups and the people of Nicaragua in your prayers this summer! Dios se Bendiga! ( God Bless!)

Say hello to Kay and ask how her Honda is doing for me! :-)
ReplyDeleteWhat is super ironic Rick... is that I will get to visit my Aunt Kay while I'm down there, and I think her truck is a Honda. But i might say hello to Quebrada Honda for you as well :)
ReplyDeleteTo anyone following Devin's Adventure. She is in Cuzmapa safe and sound, but they are having internet issues in town so she cannot post to her blog yet. Hopefully she will soon.
